FAQs
How much does flight training cost, and what’s included?
Flight training costs vary by license type, aircraft, and frequency of training. We provide transparent pricing per flight hour and offer estimated total costs for Private, Instrument, and Commercial ratings, including ground instruction, materials, and checkride fees.
Can I train while working or going to school?
Yes! We offer flexible scheduling, including weekends and evenings. You can train part-time at your own pace or commit to an accelerated track.
How long does it take to get a Private Pilot License (PPL)?
Most students earn their PPL in 3–6 months with regular training. Part-time students may take longer. The FAA minimum is 40 hours, but most students average 55–70 hours to become proficient and pass the checkride.
What’s the difference between Part 61 and Part 141 flight training?
Part 61 offers flexibility in schedule and structure, ideal for most students. Part 141 is more rigid and often used by international or career-track students. There is no benefit to a 141 unless its tied to a college like Embry Riddle. We currently operate under Part 61 for a personalized training experience, which can be faster or slower paced than a 141.
Do I need any prior experience or a medical certificate to start training?
No experience is needed to begin. You can start ground school and discovery flights right away. You’ll need at least a Third Class Medical before your first solo flight, which we can help you obtain from a local Aviation Medical Examiner (AME).
Are your instructors experienced?
Yes! Our instructors are professional, highly trained, and passionate about teaching. Most have 1,000+ flight hours and experience training both private and career-track students. Most instructors come here to be able to provide a better training experience than they can at a different location.
